I built this clever set – at least I think it is clever – as a gift to a friend expecting twins. The cutting board is a classic walnut and maple but it was one of my first times using thinner strips. The pattern is quite striking especially with the contrast of the maple shining against the dark rustic walnut. I love how that effect is even more dramatic in the picture frames with their contrasting inlays and splines.
