Yikes! For this piece, my first attempt at furniture, I had only a circular saw at my disposal. Made of the cheapest wood from the big box store; put together with glue, screws (into end grain no less), and nail; hopelessly skewed and awfully stained: and yet I proudly displayed this for years in my entryway, the first sight that visitors laid their eyes upon.
This table, which, now that it has been scrapped, I freely acknowledge as awful, is the epitome of my philosophy in woodworking. I am not a professional and I never will be. Perfection is not my goal. I do this for the joy and the pride of creating and building with my own hands.
