Template routing remains difficult for me to this day and nearly led to disaster in this work. A bit of fortune and ingenuity with scrap cherry saved the day. Cherry is probably my favorite wood to work: it has a timeless beauty to it. Even the burn marks are vibrant in color, their deep burgundy adding character and a sense of uniqueness.
